Tripod Recommendations?

Seen as my tripod broke (yes. broke. I couldn't believe it either. It nearly killed my camera in the process *ears fume*) Can anyone recommend to me an excellent tripod? What do each of you have?

I DONT HAVE ONE YET, BUT WHAT TRIPOD DID YOU HAVE? IF YOU SEARCH THE FORUMS THIS QUESTION BEEN ASKED BOUT 2-3 TIMES OVER THE LAST MONTH OR SO

For me theres two directions for tripods. big expensive and superby able, or little and lightweight but perfectly satisfactory for most applications.

I use a Velbon lightweight, ( ULTRA-LUXi-F) its. got a nice friendly swivle head on, and packs into its own small soft bag with strap (aprox 1.5" x 5 inch) ... I can carry it all day no prob. :thumbs:

Really liking the look of the Velbon Sherpa 600R.
Should I go for it? :D
 
i have a manfrotto 190XPROB with the 804RC2 head plus a jessops TP323,which i bought before the manfrotto.for the extra dosh the manfrotto cost,it's ten times the tripod than the jessops one and i wish i'd got it first off.

my advice would be get the best you can afford as it will last a lifetime..:rules:
