Tripod recomendations

I need a tripod, new or 2nd hand, what would people recommend at around the £30-50 mark.

Needs to be a general use one, that I can get low if needed and normal height. Also one that is quick to set up and to attach the camera and unattach it quickly.

I was thinking about the SLIK PRO 700 DX for £99 since it got a good review.
Is it worth spending the extra £50

I think its definatly worth spending money on a good tripod. I would recomend the manfrotto 055 pro b as its the one i have myself, its very sturdy, well made and can take a fair bit of weight. Dont forget that you need to factor in the price of buying a head to go with the legs!!

generally you get what you pay for with tripods. I'd be tempted to look second hand and get as much as you can for your money. Having said that the few reviews there are on the Slik do seem quite good, never used it myself though.
