Hi Guys,

I bought a Miranda Tripod today, reduced from £60 to £30.

I have just taken it out tonight, had everything tightened, however, on long exposures I am getting blurry images, therefore the camera must be moving.

I am planning on taking it back tomorrow for a refund, and I will look for something else.

Does anybody have any recommendations to a Tripod that would support a 40D with 55-250 lens? I don't really want to go above £70 if possible?

Thanks a lot.

Try Calumet. You will find them near Piccadilly Station and their own brand are not at all bad. I've had one for nearly three years now and still use it regularly even though I also have a Manfrotto!

Why should I turn IS off?

And how and why would I turn on the mirror lockup?

I have a 40D.

Are you using a remote too?

Think the IS on the 55-250 is supposed to be tripod sensing, turning it off anyway might be a good idea

At least you can add it to the worst purchase thread :)

Hi Ali,

Thank you for the recommendation, I went into Calumet earlier today and bought their 7500 tripod. It seems perfect for me.
