Tripod for Newbies!

I *think* that is the same one as the generic jobby from Argos and I think their price was about £19.99

Frankly that's a great deal to get you up and running....at least 90% of us wouldn't need more anyway!

Cheers
James

Looks like one I got some time back from Lidi for about £9 I think complete with a bag. Not use it now I got a Uni-Loc Will have to say for the price its a good buy and with the hook you can hang a weight on it, I use to hang my back pack on it

dam!!! One reason i hate florence, everything is so expensive!! I got that tripod for 35 euros - All the other tripods were rediculusly expensive and shipping things here costs a fortune ah well, gotta say its ok for me, could do with a remote shutter release ***,

Like many, I started with a Hama tripod like these, in fact due to buying one then getting another similar free with a mag subscription, I had two. Whilst I have moved onwards and upwards in terms of camera/lens support these days [believe me, they do not hold a d300 with 120-300 f2.8 lens, the QR mechanism just isnt strong enough] these two tripods have remained very useful indeed. I bought a couple of £5 adapter brackets from fleabay and they now serve as stands for the flashguns/umbrellas. I have even used them to make a stand for a temporary mini backdrop on one occasion, so at that kind of price, they are definately not money wasted
