Tripod for landscape?

Haha don't worry - I did get my tripod anyway and it was a Benro C357 and a Manfrotto 410 Junior Geared Head.

Tried it out for the first time the other day. The height is huge but suits me and I REALLY like the head and ease of use.

You being 6ft 7in Granty, did I guess the height right? What do you think of it, quality, weight, function etc?

Everyone I spoke to tends to go for the Manfrotto 055. I personally went for the 190XPROB with the 804RC2 3 way head. I use it for Landscape, macro all sorts. It has been rock solid in water, snow and sand. Works like a dream. I dont have a bag but use the thick manfrotto strap. Think it will probably last me a lifetime. Big thumbs up from me for this one!

The height is spot on! Dont know how I coped with the old tripod! The centre column isnt even needed!

It is a heavy tripod and head combo at over 3kg but I'm sure in my proper bag it'll be fine.

Its all very good though so thanks for your advice :)
