Anyone use a tripod bag? I was thinking of getting one for holiday as i'd love to have my tripod with me as much as possible but I find carrying it a bit of a pain. Any recommendations?

The plan was to try and buy from Jessops for ease but not an option anymore :( And Calumet just isn't in a handy location.
 
I used to have a bag, but the one I had was a pain if you had a large ballhead on the tripod (I use a joystick type head).
If I'm taking lots of kit, it goes in the tripod pocket on the backpack, but if I'm travelling lighter (eg just one body/lens or on a long walk) then I have an Optech strap which is simple and works well, just clips round it and chuck it over a shoulder.

BTW Jessops is no more;) try ebay or amazon
 
I just use the canvas bag that my camping chair came in, it's free and stealthy, no padding though.
 
I have 3 tripod bags and use them for storage as well as when carrying the things. My main tripods are Manfrottos and are both in Manfrotto bags - the CF tripod is in a padded bag (with a 322 Joystick head) and the Aluminium one is in an unpadded one (with a 410 geared head fitted). The other tripod is a CF Giottos Vitruvian and lives (with the head it came with) in the supplied bag.

I used to carry the aluminium tripod on a strap, unbagged but so many nobbly bits dug into my back that I asked Santa for a padded bag a few years ago. The unpadded Manfrotto bag gives plenty of protection to my back but marginally less to the 'pod, hence the slightly more fragile CF 'pod living in the padded bag! The unpadded bags both came with tripods - the Giottos as standard and the Manfrotto as a sweetener in a deal.
