Finally got the camper finished so me and the mrs are taking a french road trip next year still in the planning stage.
Are there any do`s or do not`s for taking pics IE street photography of people
etc.I don`t want to offend the the locals.

Point the lens in their face, pref when they have a mouthful of food and say "gotcha!!" and run a mile until you meet the next innocent pedestrian. :D:D

Pretty sure the French have a specific law against this.

I'm also pretty sure nobody bothers about it unless you make a nuisance of yourself.

But then they can lock you up.

In the three and a half years I've lived here there's never been a hint of a problem with candid street photography....people are more likely to pose than get upset. Distance and/or courtesy will win the day.

I'm pretty sure there wont be any major problems if you make it obvious what you're doing, specially if you ask them first. After the 'Kate' affair recently I'm sure people will be more aware of their rights, their laws are much tighter than ours, but if you're careful you should be ok.
