Hi, I have recently brought an interfit infra red trigger. The intention was to use it to trigger my 4 lights and create that studio high key look. Trouble is it hasn't worked! It was very temperamental-at times triggering one, then none, then very very occasionally actually doing what I wanted it to and triggering all 4! Very frustrating! Has anyone else had this problem? Am I doing something wrong? Please help. FifiD:bang:

don't know much about flash set up...but are all the transmitters/recievers pointing at each other? Infra red receivers need to be able to see each other to work effectively

You may do better with the IR trigger set to one strobe and the other 3 strobes picking up the first flash to trigger them.

The first 2 answers are right.
Infra red needs line of sight to work (although the better ones have enough power for the signal to bounce off of other, reflective surfaces, I doubt whether the Interfit ones can)
2. Your lights can act as slaves, reading the flash from 1 light - so just set up your infra red to work with 1 flash and forget about the rest.

Just a word of warning, when using a flash to trigger other flashes, the flash that triggers the others must be a broad light source, e.g. not honeycombed, snooted or similar.
