Tricky one or not

Ok Folks..

I mainly do my processing on the iMac and photos being stored on a external and the LR library being in the picture folder on the iMac

I am thinking of getting myself a MBP so I can do some editing while away on holiday and out about. This is where I am stuck if I import the photos on the MBP and did my processing etc. What the easiest way to get them all over to the Main system

Depends how many and how big. I use a MBP as my main computer and WiFi stuff to my backup system, which runs on an ancient Mac Mini. 250MB takes around 30 seconds.
