I'm off on a few trips abroad and taking my camera I was after a man bag/shoulder bag that's inconspicuous but can take a Nikon D3,24-70,70-300 and a few odds and sods, any recommendations? Many thanks...

Think Tank Retrospective is quite popular too.

I just got a Think Tank Retrospective 10 to take on holiday with me, it's very nice.

That's my only issue, I can't get to see any Think Tank bags so unsure on sizes. The 30 looks about the right size for the D3.

I use a Lowepro Slingshot 300 (there is a newer version, 302, which has a tripod holster). Takes my D5000 with grip and 2 extra lenses, a flash and there is plenty of room for some cans of soda, Kindle etc. The "slingshot" makes it quite easy to get to the camera if you are in a rush.

Edit: Forgot it has a nice all-weather cover which can handle a raincloud if needed (and makes it a wee bit harder for thiefs to get to your camera)

Retrospective 20, great quality and doesn't look like a camera bag. Expensive, but you'll forget that once you've used it a few times :D

Before I got mine I did a search on youtube and there are some video of people showing how much they've been able to fit in.

Sorry everybody... if the internet going slow its me! Been checking out YouTube most of this morning... birthday soon so looks like a think tank retrospective 30 as I can use it to travel and at home.

Take a look at the Domke F-2 rugged, they have various other sizes and styles too and on the plus side don't look like your carrying expensive equipment in them!

Have a look in TK Max for something that doesn't look like a photo bag.. nothing screams expensive like a Crumpler, etc.

I picked up very retro looking shoulder bag earlier in the summer for my trips this year that comfortably swallowed my gear for the trip (three film cameras) although ot would have been tight for a DSLR and two large lenses. The only change I will be making for next time is to add a padded shoulder pad as it got uncomfortable over a full day. And I'll be looking to Ebay for a suitably retro looking seat-belt shoulder pad for that.

Left the specs of the think tank on the puter and think the misus saw it...... she's usually asking what I want for my birthday by now. Here's hoping. Probably get pants and socks: sigh.
