Sometimes from time to time you if you are shrewd and set limits, there are bargains to be had on ebay.

I had been after a travel tripod from my upcoming road trip of Reno/Tahoe/Death Valley and Vegas. I didn't want to spend £Stupid on a carbon fibre Giottos or similar so had pretty much decided on a Velbon Ultra tripod. These seem to go for anything between £56 and £90 depending on what model you want.

To say that I am chuffed to have picked up a bargain would be an understatement.
I found, subsequently bid and won a brand NEW Ultra Maxi i SF off the Bay for ..... Just £26 plus £6 P&P !! (I reckon this is 1/4 of the RRP seen for over £80!)

Superb tripod for the cash, I even have a spare Velbon PHD-41Q to change with the Ball socket type head it comes with!

Pleased.....yep :D

Need any info or test on it, just ask, I may have the time to try some things.

A link maybe nice

Unless it was a one off of course

Unfortuneately I was just blowing my own trumpet of a good find :woot::woot:

It was a one off and saved me over £50.

The point being made was, if you percivere ? (Percy Vere ;) ) then ebay can be a good source sometimes, just make sure you know the retail prices and never go over that limit you set yourself, it's all too easy in the excitment of it all!
And of course, "all that glisters is not gold" or good photography equipment!

Very nice tripod - I use one for all my landscape work.. works fine, can't see the point in these big boogers that require a sherpa to carry!
