does anyone know of somewhere which will cover my camera/lens, ect and laptop for a short (10 day) period??
tried photoguard but they only do annually. off to japan on friday and want a bit of extra cover

cheers had a quick look but cant see if they will just cover my kit, I already have travel insurance. going to see if I can add it to my house insurance
 
Ah - sorry! That's who I've got mine with included in my travel insurance for my trip away. Should have read your post better.

As I take mine to rugby - I've got mine covered under the contents away from home, so, yes, give your house insurance a ring and see if they can cover it
 
just put it on my house insurance, £5000 camera insurance world wide and laptop cover, for £4 month with directline all they want is receipts or pics of the gear
 
That's not bad. Might double check with husband that he has definitely got mine insured then as he said it was but no extra cost :thinking:
 
E & L Insurance do specialised insurance for photographic equipment and the minimum period is a month, not a year. For say £3000 of cover (guesstimate based on your gear list), it would cost about £10 for a month, worldwide all risks.
