I am heading to Costa Rica next year and want to insure all my togging equipment.

I am using the comparison websites of the fat opera singer and the Russian Meercats but nothing is coming up with anything that offers more than £1000 for just a single item  I have even tried calling them but they don't wanna offer me anything:bonk:

Was hoping that someone out there knows of any insurers that would be kind enough to take some of my money off me but include specific photography insurance....

Hope someone can point me in the right direction!!

Cheers!

Check your home insurance? Mine offers £2000 for a single item for upto a certain number of days worldwide - I want to say 90 days, but it is certainly more than two weeks!

Yep, I have just made a claim for £2500 on my house insurance for some kit that we left in a taxi in Egypt. No single item limit but 2,5k was the maximum total claim so maybe worth giving them a call to see if you can up the cover if required.

Hate to sound smug but this is why I still use a insurance broker he has worked all of our families insurance and investment needs for the last 30 years, it takes away all the hassle and we suitable insurance too our exact needs

The likes of Photoguard will cover your kit whilst overseas, but you have to pay the premium for all of your gear, regardless of how much of it you're planning to take with you. They wanted an extra £400 off me, but my house insurance covered it for a fraction of that....
