Travel insurance & photography equipment help :-)

I am off to France for a couple of weeks in June. I am looking for travel insurance, but all the policies that I have viewed only cover personal belongings upto £1000 which is fine, but £150/£250 for single items upto a value of £1000. I.e. my camera has cost me near £600 with extra lenses, bag, memory etc but they will only pay me £150/£250 as they are considered as one item!. Can anyone recommend any travel insurance for me which specialises in photographic equipment, personal injury etc etc?

I would not get it on your travel insurance, i have my kit insured seperatley and the policy i have covers for going out of the country as long as you tell them before you go. just get you kit insured with the option of traveling included in it

Did not realise but I am covered through work for travel insurance. And after just speaking to my home insurance co, they will cover personal items upto any limit I specify (£800) with receipts upto 90 days per annum abroad with £100 excess happy days
