I am off to France for a couple of weeks in June. I am looking for travel insurance, but all the policies that I have viewed only cover personal belongings upto £1000 which is fine, but £150/£250 for single items upto a value of £1000. I.e. my camera has cost me near £600 with extra lenses, bag, memory etc but they will only pay me £150/£250 as they are considered as one item!. Can anyone recommend any travel insurance for me which specialises in photographic equipment, personal injury etc etc?

Thank you

I would not get it on your travel insurance, i have my kit insured seperatley and the policy i have covers for going out of the country as long as you tell them before you go. just get you kit insured with the option of traveling included in it :D

Did not realise but I am covered through work for travel insurance. And after just speaking to my home insurance co, they will cover personal items upto any limit I specify (£800) with receipts upto 90 days per annum abroad with £100 excess :) happy days
