Yes
I have just had my 5d Mk2 body returned to me as it’s an insurance write off:shrug:, and I’m just thinking what I can do with it?

It has been fresh water damaged although I have the list of repair damage from Colchester camera’s and I did think about selling it for a few pound to a budding camera repair enthusiast, but thinking more about what I could do with it as in a bit of creative stuff, so has anyone got any ideas?

Doorstop?

Take it to pieces, sell the pieces.

Make something out of it - would make a nice clock ;)

Slow motion sledge hammer, post it on you tube watch people cry......

Play a joke on a mate who has a 5D MkII?

Paint out Canon, write on Olympus and see if you can get it on 43rumors.com as a forthcoming full frame release?

Entrapment - it would really annoy a thief.

I'm liking the planter idea though - good with herbs on the kitchen window sill

hahahahahahah totaly agree play a joke LOL that'd be epic that would and get it on video be youtube gold :D

then strip it and wall mount it the place I used to go that serviced my canon gear had wall mounted camera in bits looked brilliant and very interesting

Cheers for all the idea's thinking I will lake it apart and have a look at the bits maybe mount them. then put the body back together then maybe do some shots with different things out of the lens spigot ie plant a flower/Fill with water and put small boat in there. Must be lots of things maybe do a 52

How about making a "lens" out of random stuff - like baked bean cans, pringles tubes, a coffee cup ;)

Then go out with it (and a working camera), see and shoot the reactions you get...
