Hi all, I have all my raw files on a hard drive and I was asked by an agency for some photos yesterday. I transfered them back onto my computer and put them in a file, but when I go to nx view to open them and convert them it says "nothing to show" I can open them big from "my pictures" but does any one know a way i can get them in jpegs as big as possible? Hope some one can help, Thanks.

View NX won't open files from cameras with dust bunnies on the sensor. :D

(DL ;) )

Open View NX, search in the folder list on the left and select the folder, then file, you want. That should open NEFs and JPEGs for processing. Other than that I'm baffled, Al.

Lots of better brains on here than me. Someone will have a solution, Al.

Have you tried opening them in ViewNX2 while they are on the hard drive?

"Transfered them" rings a bell? With what?

If "Nikon Transfer" then make sure you're using latest version...

Go easy with me Jan please )))) All I done was plugged my hard drive in and transferred the 3 photos I wanted onto my desktop. i then put them in a folder im "my pictures" and opened ViewNX 2 and when I tried to open the folder there it said "There is no file to display. Filtering off: 0 files displayed" but I can open them in "my pictures" Im lost (((

Still not clear, if you used Nikon Transfer, but if you use latest ViewNX ver. 2.7.4, you're good...

Only other thing, I can think of, is the files are not the photos themselves, but instead short-cuts or links? If they are short-cuts, ViewNX will indeed ignore them.
Test this by right-clicking an image and select "Properties" to check it... or open Explorer, where they will show up as "Linked".

I don't use View NX but does it attach a sidecar or XMP file to the raw and your trying to open that instead?
