Yes
I have an old VHS tape that I'd like to watch again but no longer have a player.
It has a Van Morrison concert and a Channel 4 programme about Boardman and Obree racing round the Isle of Man TT course (and I'm in there too!) on it.

How easy is it to get it transferred over onto disc and where is the best place to try? No one I know has a VHS machine these days!
I assume there are guys who will do this for me but where are they?

Can anyone help?

I would guess a google search of VHS to DVD and your location would give the best results, but you might find that they won't copy copyright material over.

Frank, I have a VHS recorder with a DVD recorder on it.

I'll gladly give it a go for you. if I can remember how it works.

Let me know.

Thank you. I hadn' thought of that. Probably a grey area. Terry seems to have an answer. I'l see what he can do.

That's very kind of you. If you don't' mind having a go...obviously beer tokens for costs etc will be forthcoming. If it doesn't work the I've list nothing.

I'l send a PM.

Check to see if either are on YouTube first. It’s amazing what’s on there already.

I have one of those vhs to dvd thingies as well. You can record tv to the dvd but it won’t let you copy anything with macrovison so I couldn’t back up my far side videos.
