Train fare help

I'm toying with the ideal of going to Focus on Imaging. Admittedly I don't often travel on trains, but I've just been online to check times and prices, and it looks to me that if I want to get there about 10am the fare from Guildford to the NEC is 96 flippin quid!!!

Am I doing something wrong, or is that about right? :shrug:

travel on Sunday the 7th

virgin 95 and via the other one £73,70...

I paid around £50 return on sunday from London and that inculdes 1st class back ticket
