trade in bonus (sony)

hi guys/gals
new thread to stop it getting lost hopefully.
how does the Sony trade in bonus work? is it from Sony and you claim after or should a shop give you that of the price? cant find it on Sony uks web site, and wex say if I did it I need to claim from Sony, but isn't that cash back not trade in bonus?

Looking at the WEX site, it calls it a cash back deal rather than a trade in bonus. Jessops seem to be doing a trade in bonus though.

that only tell you what they are (the amount) and the form to get a quote on your camera not how to get the bonus.

I would assume you would get the bonus upon completion of the quote. The T&C are also on that page.

i would think so but it doesn't say, read the t and c's but not in there. i have phoned wex but they didn't seem that clear to me. just hopeing someone had done it before

I got a quote for 3 lenses from Wex and Jessops, then Jessops matched Wex so I took my lenses in and I walked out with my New camera and two lenses.

It's a px bonus from Sony. The dealer values your camera, you send it, they assess it and deduct the cost from your purchase.

I've just part-exed my old 350d with them against a A7Rii. I've paid in full for now and they will credit the value once they've assessed it

WEX deduct from the price you pay, or in my case they are crediting my card tomorrow once they have inspected my old camera

I am going the other way really I used to have a 5dmk111 went to m4/3 and now looking/thinking about full frame again.
tbh ether would work for me -pros and cons with both dslr and mirror-less tech, its just working around them
