Hi Tracy ... that's a good idea for Mouth ... I like the narrow DoF but perhaps a little too narrow.
 
Relax - Nice family pet shot. Using the shallow DoF is helping blur out the distracting fore and backgrounds

Vertical - Absolutely super shot. This isn’t a typical butterfly shot and that is its strength and what I like about it. The DoF is naturally shallow with the subject being so close but again that is what helps make it a lovely image. My favourite from you so far. Very nice.

Mouth - An amusing shot on the little figurine which fits the theme nicely.

Crowd - got to admit this one was hard for me as I tend to only photograph single items/people so this is a photo that I took recently at a local village event, it was just a quick snapshot but thought it sort of fits the theme ;)

Close Up ... Oh I like that ... fantastic lighting and DOF (Lensbaby presumably) and nicely positioned in the frame. :clap:

Crowd - A really happy shot. Looks like everyone is have a great time and, of course, a perfect fit to the theme.

Close up - A beautiful image. Great focus and composition.

If I was to say anything, it would be that both photos look a touch dark to me but I am being picky ;)
 
Some great shots in your thread. And the last one for CLOSE UP is stunning! Water drops on leaves always catch my eye. It actually inspired me to post one of my own as an alternative CLOSE UP in my thread, but mine was done with the help of those macro rings.

Blimey... I've slipped behind again !!

Bold - It doesn't scream bold, but liking the delicate/soft look of this and the magenta colour against the nice background, liking the composition too, a nice image :)

Relax - Aweeee bless... the background is a tad distracting, but you have caught a great look on that dog, a nice little glint in it's eye :)

Vertical - Nice take on the theme, really liking the angle you have taken this from, the antenna thingies and the body highlights/stripes really bring it to the theme, like it :thumbs:

Mouth - Now that is an interesting ornament !!! - works well for the theme, the focus bang on the mouth/tongue, the narrow DoF really makes the shot and the nice soft background :)

Crowd - Certainly a dapper crowd of people, a bit busy background, but not anything you could do with that, theme wise it fits :)

Close up - Now really liking this one, a real nice composition, loving the colours and the detail in the leaves and water drops, the little fury edgers round off the shot nicely, no crit from me :clap:
 
Crowd - Good take for the theme. I could imagine this in one of those posh “county” magazines as a record of a charity ball or something similar………but why hasn’t the bloke on the right got a mask on? :)

Close Up - Super super stuff. The focus is absolutely spot on and yet must be taken with a shallow DoF. The positioning is just right as is the addition of the water droplets.
 
Thanks all, another busy week ( story of my life ) had 2 of my kids birthdays so damn expensive too ;)

Machine - got to admit not an easy week for me as I tend not to really take any machine type shots so hope this works, taken at during a trip with my 2 boys to the London museums!

Machine - Interesting subject although someone needs shooting for putting that sign there

Alphabet - Nice idea which I feel has been sympathetically taken. It would have been easy to have overlit this

Sound - Nice family picture. I feel adding some reflected light on the lift hand side would have evened out the face but that’s not always easy when dealing with kids. There’s definitely a look of concentration on his face

It's a natural shot....introducing additional lighting would make it less so.
Didn't take to the headphones huh? :-)
