Yes
i know we've got a lot of tog's to spend their time at the side of the track, but are there many people who spend like to be on the other side of the lens on the black stuff it's self?

i'm currenly in the middle of building a semi track/road car. Just a cheap corsa(im not chav, honest) with 2.0 engine conversion, bucket's cage etc?

I'd love to do trackdays but unfortunately I don't have the spare cash. I want to do at least one day at Oulton on my bike before it has to be sold next year.

The best I ahve been in are a Areil Atom, Caterham (with no passenger seat), caterham (with passenger seat), Lambo Gallardo Superlegga, Radical and a GTR :D Also been in a Lotus Elise S1, Porsche 996, Peugeot 205 (one white and one black), Lancia Intergrela, BMW toruing car rep, Renualt clio cup car (broke down :() A VX220 and I think that is it :)

i'll offer a passenger ride in mine, once it's on the road (need to get my arse into gear and finish it), but it prob wont compare to any of the above :'(

Suspension has now been swapped-out for something that works:
Eibach Springs; Koni Yellow Shocks, Hotchkis Sway Bars; UMI Panhard bar; Steeda Lower control arms and HD tower struts...BamaChips tune...

That's lovely that is. I know they have a reputation as being a bit agricultural, but they're a lovely car. And anything with a big V8 up front isn't bad

I kept up with an M3 (last model type) round the 'Ring (which is a 45 minute drive from me), so the suspension now works as well as I need it to...though I got my arse handed to me in a basket by, of all things, an Opel Manta...700bhp! Boy it could shift!

*edit*

no-frills is the way I'd put it - also you can change anything that you don't like about the car - engine, transmission, driveshaft, suspension, axles, wheels...everything...

Wow!! I wish I lived that close to a such a great circuit!

 Oh dear!! but 700BHP  If you are ever at Oulton, drop me a PM :p

will do...maybe after Afghanistan - that Tour will pay for the Edelbrock E-Force S/C - 500RW-BHP

it is...and we get to shoot back...

and the supercharger will be fun too...lol

v8 - lovely sound track..

charger and v8, will be fun watching the fuel gauge needle move as fast as the tacho

Yep... Ride a R6. Only done Brands Indy.

Next one for me is Cadwell Park at the end of this month, try and squeeze in a few every year along with 6 or 7 trips to the 'ring although with the current exchange rate it's too expensive :'(

It's something I'd love to do eventually ... I bought a car last year with the intention of doing it up for track days, improving the handling/brakes/suspension etc ... but it isn't the expense that's put me off, it's the worry of getting the car damaged on track because I attend alot of car shows aswell and I'm very car proud!
If I could afford to get a 2nd car then I'd do it.

I love trackdays - Cadwell Park is by far and away my favourite circuit.
Never done one with four wheels though.

anyway, this is my chavtastic track toy work in progress

just need to put all the piece's of the jigsaw together, and use it now, just finding the time

Done a couple of track days before. When i had my old Mini i did Brands, and Castle Coombe. I have since done Croft and Coombe again in my Type R. And i have also done a few on a bike, which is WAAAYYYY more scary, but more fun. I think track days are awesome, the best thing someone ever came up with:thumbs:

Done the Nurburgring a couple of times, only standard cars though. Might try and fit in another one soon, now I've got a more powerful car.

My girlfriend bought me Aston Martin track day thing for xmas.. Doing it in April. Can't wait..

Am building a mid engined Lancia for track days and fun but spend a lot of time with our own race cars - Dallara F3 car :)

dont happen to have a project thread for it somewhere, sound's intresting?

it's say's you have a rr booked for yesterday?

how did it perform, what sort of power is it running?

ps. the site doesn't display correctly in ie7

if you believe rolling road test results (I don't and no-one should) then 212bhp at 6500rpm.

We went as its the best way of setting up ignition and carburettor jet sizes. A power figure was a byproduct of the day.

Its basically a 2 litre MR2 engine with dry sump and carbs. Displays correctly on my IE7 install.

I have a ZX7R, I'd love to take it on a track. I also have a spare engine for it (750cc, will take a bike to 170mph) which I am in the process of fitting into an adult racing go-kart :D The plan is to take it down the strip at Santa Pod.
