I'm lucky in that I have many friends who are great musicians.

Damn, I forgot Rory Gallagher and Tommy Emmanuel... How did that happen???? :oops: :$

Never really been a huge Gary Moore fan - he was undoubtedly a gifted guitar-player but, for me, just a bit too clinical - I'd put Joe Bonamassa, Vai, Satriani & Malmsteen in the same camp.... I know loads of people who love them, and I admire the skill - just doesn't move me in the way Beck, Gallagher, Gilmour, et al do..

I agree. The problem, for me, is their determination to play as many notes in as short a time as possible! It is impressive, but I'd much rather hear more feeling from a guitar player.
