TPF Slimathon

Right, I weighed myself this morning, cringing...and thought "anything under 19st is a bonus"

I'm 18st 3lb and 3/4.

So im in for this :D

I have an excel spreadsheet for anyone that wants it...
Basically you enter the date, and your current weight, and it works out how much youve lost (or gained), not only since the last weigh in, but also cumulatively, and converts it into straight pounds, and also kilos for you  All done with my fair hand :D

Here's a screenie
weightchartnm3.jpg

I have a blank copy of it for anyone thats interested.

send me a copy over if you like Marcel - I have something similar but not as much detail as yours.

Ok, that's now:

Oh, don't forget this is also the place to post if you're feeling weak and need help to avoid that snack attack. Plenty of people joining in now that should be able to suggest something better for you if you must have a snack!

:)

And remember - thirst and hunger are easily confused so make sure you drink plenty of fluids! (just not ones that are loaded with sugar ;) )

or hops:nono: :bang:

I've uploaded the spreadsheet to www.marcelbooth.co.uk/m/weightloss.xls

There are a couple of entries in there (to show you how it's entered), you may delete those

Basically enter todays (or yesterdays) date, the start weight.
Then on the next line, the new date, and your new weight, and it works everything out for you.

It also works for negatives, so what I like to do, is when I've put ON weight, I highlight the whole line and change the text colour to red to give me a reminder ;)

By the way, it only accepts weight in stones and pounds, and converts to the rest for you :)

Regards

I'll have to take your word on that one mate. :)

Thanks Marcel that is going to be a brilliant encouragement.

My only prob is that I have a broken toe at the moment and am not supposed to walk....so its gonna have to be done by "food only" for the time being. Grrr!

I've lost 2 pounds since yesterday, going the right way at least!

Have a look down the back of the sofa or under the car seat....

pleeeaasssee ........ there's always one (usually you)

I might join in this one - I had my chest and back waxed (fer charidy, mate) at the weekend (45 minutes of unadulterated torture!), and while I looked overweight beforehand, now I just look like an overweight oven-ready chicken! Best get the weighing scales out and make a start...

cheryl...I think the heat is getting to you....I like a nice furry chest actually...but don't tell Barry will you?

OOOhhh NO.....................hairy as possible for me!!!

that thumb emote is having a double meaning for me since Min has been dinkle spotting ;)

Well, how's it going, guys?

I had wanted to diet AND excercise to increase the weightloss, but unfortunately I have a broken toe which is all strapped up and Im not supposed to walk, so I have to do it with food only.

I started on Monday morning and have lost 5lbs so far....although I am not particularly proud as I know the weight falls off to start with, probably just water and stuff. But I am determined ....... I am looking at this as a new phase of my life as I start to approach 50 and the kids are starting to fend for themselves, and I want it to be a nice slim phase! :)

Congrats Janice
I think thats really good going especially for food only and in such a short space of time too.
Hope the toe isnt giving you too much gip!

Ill get to weigh myself on Sat when I visit me mam, Im not expecting to feel so proud ... Tesco has had 50p off Green & Blacks choc Bars this week & last night my son's girlfriend bought me Ferrero Rocher too.
Ive always been able to eat what I like up until recently so having to find willpower where food is concerned is proving a new & difficult experience!

Thanks. I must say if it wasnt for the boys then I wouldnt need to buy biscuits, kitkats etc. When I open that fridge the temptation is enormous.

I bet living on your own would make things a lot easier!! :'(

No, then boredom sets in and the fridge and TV are your friends. :(

Well done Janice

It certainly does. When I lived on my own, I never bought junk food, biscuits, cakes, etc as the temptation was just too much, and the weight stayed off. Now I buy stuff for my fella as he takes cakes etc to work, and likes to sit on an evening and eat junk. He left 1/2 a bag of Maltesers in the fridge last night..... they're not there anymore  However, I did spend an hour in the gym this morning to compensate :D

So, the malteasers made you eat them? :suspect:

I'll have to have a word here, because I gave them strict instructions for them to tell you to post them to me :D

You just can't trust Malteasers these days!

So....you heard them and still ate them

Murderess!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

:D

Actually, yes :p I heard the little voices when I opened the fridge

Their screams for mercy no doubt! :'(

I'd like to join in but my weights about right; :D I keep reasonably fit, and don't eat much and drink loads of fluids, so I guess I must be doing ok.

I'm 42...still getting used to that 4. 189lbs, 6 foot 2 inches, and its fair to say; I'm all arms and legs.
I have got some fat on my tummy and some love handles but I'm not to fussed as I don't believe in stressing out whilst fighting with my genes,(J) But then again I don’t blinkin have too, do I… I hear you all growl. ;)

Great thread guys, good luck to all in your efforts. And congrats so far.

well today (lunchtime) I weighed in at 86 so I've gone up slightly but I've been off the gym this week heat rash on my neck and shoulders makes sweating a painfull experience :( On the up side I hope to have some nice pics of ferraris from today just as soon as I find the USB cable for my camera to look at them.

Todays (30/07/06) wiegh in alot more like it 82.9 kgs. About half way from my start weight (96kg ish this time last year) to my goal  :woot:
exercise this week - stripping the paint off the stair banisters. Trust me not a good idea makes a huge mess and takes forever and a day to do :(

Ferrari pics still on camera LOL

Well done Gemok
I haven't lost any weight this week :( (although I have a perfectly good excuse why), and I haven't put any on. I have been fairly good however and even managed to get a few gym sessions in too, plus lots of decorating :)

14.3st....

18st 7 today for some reason :(

Been ice skating and swimming this week, and not eaten anything more than usual (or so I thought)

Decided today, I'm going to have to rejoin the gym :(
