TPF Curry

Can do this Friday, going to the Dorset meet on Saturday 18th, so that date is out for me. 2nd Dec is ok, as should be the 15th :)

So currently Minimeeze, Bubbs, Grendel and myself can do either Friday 17th Nov or Friday Dec 15th.

Anyone else?

I could probably do Reading on the 17th , I'm visiting a building site near shinfield . What is there to do / photograph round that area from 3pm until curry time :)

I'm easy, but yeah, this Friday sounds fairly good... I'll need to know numbers asap so I can book it up... Anyone from Midlands/North feel like coming along?

Looking good for this Friday then :D

So far then that's:

Catdaddy
Minimeeze
rwotton
Mr Grubby
Bubbs
Grendel

What do you reckon Chris, see if there's any more takers by Wednesday then book it?

I'll book for between 8 and 10 and cancel accordingly, I reckon. That way we got a bit of contingency if others want to come along

There's lots of half built houses to photograph! Seriously, Shinfield is changing from a tiny, quiet village to a pretty well developed area - there's new houses going up everywhere! I should know I just bought one of them ;) . Not a huge amount to photograph round here really I'm afraid :( unless you fancy an afternoon at The Oracle, they're very welcoming there  . You could try Wellington Country Park for some wildlife / nature. It's only just down the road. It'll cost you £12 to get in though. Thinking about it the light will be useless by 3.00 anyway :bang: Hmmm, pub then?

Good thinking

Table booked for 8-10 of us at 8:30 at The Bina in Reading... we got 7 along so far, so if anyone else wants to come along, we still have room for a few more

Erm... can you give me a rough idea of where it is? I have no sense of direction whatsoever..... but I do have a TomTom

Anyone planning on popping into a local pub first for a refreshment?

I think I could be tempted :)

As a Reading person, can you recommend anywhere? I live out in the sticks we don't even have a pub where I am.....

Hopefully Catdaddy can answer that one, as the restuarant is his recomendation hopefully he'll know a nice pub near by

I'm coming down from Baldock (North Herts) so if anybody on the way wants a lift ?

There are a few watering holes nearby... I'll find one before Friday and let everyone know...

So I guess nobody's coming from further north than North Herts (fair play, Rob!)... Miserable lot!

Yeah, a pub first would be a great idea. I'm driving so won't be drinking, but I'm probably going straight from work (I work in Basingstoke) so will be there earlyish :)

Sounds good really looking forward to it :)

There's a great pub you might quite like afterwards as well, Cheryl if you're up for it - The Rising Sun... I reckon the music on Fridays would be right up your alley. It's not so much a "spit and sawdust" kind of pub, more like an "everything you could possibly want in a sh!thole" kind of place!

 What are you trying to say? :p

Sounds great! As long as there's no pop idol type music going on, then I'm for it!

Would love to come but having trouble in the 'bottom' region awaiting test results, so i don't think a curry is the best thing to have at the mo. Sorry!

So us who fancy a pre curry drink and those arriving early meet up in a nearby pub (any thoughts Chris)? Who's turning up at what time? I reckon me and Bubbs will be there at around 7.45. Then we all meet up at 8.30 at Bina. What name is is booked in Chris? Please tell me you didn't book under the name of Catdaddy :D

I'm going to be at a building site at the old met centre (junction B3270/A327) from about 3-4pm, after that I'm up for a non-alcoholic pub crawl :).

If anybody wants my mobile number drop me a PM :)

Hahaha!

Right, table is booked for 8:30 tomorrow under my surname ('Walker'). Here's where it is...

On the map, it looks like it's on the left as you go up Prospect Street, but it's not. There's a pub across the road and down the hill a little called the Baron Cadogan - I'm aiming to get there for about 7:30, if people want to meet there. Then we can head off to the restaurant.

Mainly residential parking nearby for those that are coming by car... I'll pm my phone number later on to everyone in case you get lost...

Cool, see you at Baron Cadogan 7.30 - 7.45ish :)

Leaving in a little while so see you guys soon
