I was in Manchester today for work and near to Trafford Park. That's not far from Old Trafford......

So I drove round to the ground and pulled into the "reserved" car park. Well, if you are going to try to blag something, may as well do it in style.

I asked the very nice man in the car park if it was permissible to take photos. "Oh I don't think that should be a problem, go up to the museum reception on the third floor, I'm sure they will sort something out for you" So off I went.

Third floor museum reception were even more accommodating and I was escorted out onto the terraces to take pics of the pitch and the trophy room too!

So nifty blagged a trip right into the heart of Old Trafford!
(And I'm not even a Man Utd fan but that was seriously impressive)

I am a Villa fan so it isn't me asking..... honest injun :)

Good call - looking forward to seeing the pics.

But you do realise that I'll have to disinfect the lens when it gets back to me :)
 
I'll have to disinfect it before it gets into the house! (T'other half is a city fan!)
And, of course, I'll have to redress the balance by going out to the City Ground too. They do have a magnificent sculpture outside called "B of the Bang" and it's wonderful when lit up so I might drag himself out after dark. He absolutely insists on "escorting" me if I'm doing any dusk or dawn pics and, as he's a former bodyguard, I'm quite safe. lol.
