I am off to Oxford for the week, I leave early tomorrow morning and there is no broadband connection in the cottage so do please enjoy the absence of my drivvely posts.
Feel free to disagree with any of the above:D
I will be meeting the famous Canon Bob and unless he can tell me where I am going wrong over a cup of coffee I will not be bringing any great shots back with me.
So unless I have time to pop in later after packing this is TTFN from me for a week:'(

:D Woopeeeeee:woot: just plugged the laptop in and find that the cottage has wi-fi provided by Farm Net so you have not got rid of me after all.
BUT......I have just been warned by Mrs Galaxy that she has not come on holiday just to see my nose stuck into my camera forum all the time. :'(
I will have to "sweeten" her up:nuts:

I will, but I was at a birthday bash till 11 last night, up till 1 this morning packing the car, off to bed and up at 3 then left at 5 to travel down from Northumberland to Oxford.
I am a bit knackered just now so will get into the swing of things tomorrow.

Well today was a first for me, I met the famous Canonbob, my first meeting with another member on this forum.
It was also a first for my sat nav as the lovely sounding Garmin lady stopped me right outside his door:thumbs:
Anyway, although I did not say at the time but he was very much how I imagined him to be, I wonder if I was how he imagined I would be, perhaps not as I am after all a daft "geordie" from Tyneside:cuckoo:
He was a great guy and had a good chat over a few coffees. I nervously handled some equipment which some of us could only dream of owning, wow, I couldn't get over the weight of his Canon 85mm 1.2 L glass, he also took a few sneaky shots of me in awe of his lens and is going to post them on here exposing my anonymity:eek:
Marcel, I did not dare Twizzel his moustache as you suggested but I will say it was one of the best I had seen and suited him well:thumbs:.
He was telling me of his plans to move to the South of France which I think will be wonderful for him and his close family and wish him the best of luck for the future.
