if anyone else has contacts they might think would be interested, can they please PM or email matty@ or Yv as we do have dialogue with a lot of companies about this event already..

Good going there Dinorock, I had contacted Canon already and was awaiting a responce..fingers crossed

Just a thought ..........

What if people wanted to bring along pieces of kit that they don't use any more, maybe put them on a notice board, with a percentage of any sale going to TP?

Nah it wouldnt be like that at all :)
The photographer takes the photo, not the camera.
Remember Ansel Adams didnt have thousands of pounds spent on posh fast L glass ;)

If i had the money and it wasn't my daughters birthday that weekend i would so be there. Hope you all have a great time.

I am up in York that weekend but with the gaffer celebrating our 25th so if you see a fat bald bloke with a 350D an EOS 100 and a hangdog expression give me a wave

Don't be daft...i have a D90 and a rather cheap tripod. but i am going. i am going to learn. and avoid getting my butt booted over the north east if i don't go.:D

Cheers Marcel.. but it is woman....but as i said i want to go and learn and meet some of you fine people too

Oops, I apologise :$ I automatically assume male unless the username hints at otherwise :)
Allow me to doff my hat to you in apology :)

Right chaps and chapesses, the website has had some more info added in particular about what togs print and ISL will be doing, plus the addition of Lee Filters being in attendance, so have a look and get planning! Sadly, cost cutting means Nikon cannot guarantee their attendance, but we are not to be disheartened, there is still a lot going on and you will be more than adequately entertained

Also, accomodation bookings will close in a weeks time, so if you want to stay on site, I NEED to know sooner rather then later - again, more info about that on the website.

TP CONVENTION 2009 WEBSITE

Dear All

Firstly, thank you to Lee of TOGS Print for inviting Fastek to be part of the upcoming convention. I look forward to having the opportunity to meet everybody, and I hope that we can add something to the event.

Fastek was established in 1995 to provide specialist technical service and support to the prepress and graphic art sectors. Our founding directors were all field engineers working for Crosfield Electronics, who were pioneering manufacturers of Drum Scanners.

With the digital revolution, drum scanners have become all but obsolete and our company diversified into the supply of Epson's Stylus Pro series of digital inkjet printers. Fastek remains focussed on customer service and our engineers have all been trained by Epson to ensure we have the ability to provide our customers with onsite, remote and telephone support services to compliment supplying consumables competitively.

Our aim at the convention is to demonstrate the quality achievable onto a wide variety of compatible substrates, and to share our experience of working with diverse clients ranging from amateur photographers up to advertising agencies, commercial printers and exhibition/display graphics.

I look forward to meeting you all!!

Best wishes

Barry (Bungle) of Fastek

This is all kinds of awesomeness. Have Canon confirmed yet? You should try and get Olympus there to show off their new Pen camera, and Panasonic with their new micro 4/3rds camera. ooooooooooOOOOOOOoOOOOoooooohhh

Hi Barry

Welcome to TalkPhotography and thanks for signing up :)

Look forward to working alongside you at the convention.

Barry and his team at Fastek provide me (and the company) with exceptional customer service, supply turnaround usually the same day or at the very latest next day and really REALLY know their stuff about large formating printing equipment. Hopefully between us we can add something to the convention!

Lee

May I also add my thanks to Barry and of course to Lee and Matt for their contributions to the convention, as well as everyone else that is working to make the weekend a very special one.

Can I also remind everyone that tickets are available in advance if you want them but you can also pay on the door. This is YOUR weekend, and you will make it a success so come on, make sure you have arrangements made in advance so you don't miss out.

We'll also have a few new and boxed sets of various Elemental light sets (all different ranges) on show offer also - from £100 upwards! You'll get to see them in action with Matt :)
