TP Calendar 2009 - The Winning Entries

Well done everyone, I'm really pleased that some of the ones I voted for are in there, its going to be a great calendar just a shame there are not more months in the year :D

The standard of the entries was so high that all the winners deserve to be well chuffed - and rightly so.

Some nice shots there, a couple of the one's I voted for actually made it too.

There were 166 voters and many hundreds of actual votes

Better luck next time Jo, I voted for yours, can't believe it didn't make it.

It shows how varied the tastes are here which is probably a good thing, shows there's a market for a wide variety of work.

Of the 149 entered I chose 22 for my top pick but the majority only agreed with 4 of my pick, c'est la vie! :)

Yep, doesn't look very changing/appropriate to each month at all but well done to all the guys! Must be hard to judge something like that.

Absolutely stunning. There's certainly a leaning towards animals/birds and landscapes, but the one's that won are just so good, it's no surprise :clap:

What a co-incidence baby sis. So did I. It was my no. 1. It was the first one scrolling down to make me stop and stare.
 
Shame theres no representation form any areas other than nature and landscape photography??

I guess thats the nature of the public vote

We've had a couple of votes behind the scenes, which look like this

We could have completely missed certain months (ie nature being a certain way at a certain time of year) etc, so have a look through the images, and gimme a table of what you think should go in which months

D is a definite for december. We'd like to squeeze B into June for Bob, but it's hard because it's such a 'Spring' shot lol

So get yer thinking caps on :)

The story goes like this.
I am having again a sleepless night, tossing and turning in bed, thinking about everything and everyone in my life (never having coffee again) when i decide that I won't be able to sleep. So, I reach in my bag while I am in bed and grab my Eee PC which is a perfect companion both on the train and in bed in such occassions and decide to read some news and check my emails (notice it's 04:30 in the morning), well I read a message on TP from Marcel, which I didn't understand at first and then i see myself jumping out of the bed, turning on the desktop and going through my folders to email him the original. I couldn't believe it that my photo was chosen. I followed this years entries quite closely and I was so sure that i had no chance in a million after seeing all these amazing photos that were submitted!

A great thanks to everybody and congratulations to everybody that posted their photos! It really was an amazing thread, seeing everybody's best work gathered in the same thread, it was just amazing!

Can't wait for those calendars (yeah, I'm ordering a few :p)
 
Stick mine in any month you fancy...I'll be a happy bunny whatever.
