TP 52'ers Flickr Group.

Hi everyone. I mentioned last week that I thought it would be a good idea to collate our images at the halfway mark of our 52 week project. Neil (Mentalblock) came up with the idea of setting up a flickr group that way we could submit our images on a week by week basis.

The group has been set up HERE. It has been set up as invite only. The only reason for this is so that we can limit submissions to the group from members here.

I am going to be away for a couple of weeks and although I will have internet access I will not be as active as I usually am. So to make sure everyone who wants to join can Neil has agreed to moderate the group and therefore anyone wanting to join can PM myself or Neil. Please PM us with your flickr username.

If everyone who does join can make sure they have their images either named with the week number included or the week number in the description this makes the group more useful. Rather than looking at the group pool as one big slideshow it means we can search within the pool for individual weeks. When searching enter "week 1" or "week 7" etc. making sure to include the quotation marks (again thanks Neil) you will get results limited to the week number you search for.
Full screen slideshows can then be viewed for any week with the option at the top right to display information so you know who took what.

At the moment we only have 9 members n the group and it would be great to see evryones images in the pool.

Just re-read my post above and just to clarify, the words week 1, week 3 etc need to be used in either title or description for the search to work properly and not just the number on it's own.

When we have a reshoot week, do not include the week numebr of the week you've re-done, or it will show in the search for the original week too. Use the name of the theme instead.

ie tittle should be 'Week 20 - Reshoot - Style'

A thread in the group for each week would be good too then instead of having to search you could click on the thread for the week you want and scroll down them. Just a thought

joined the flickr group - added my photos and tagged them with TP52 and the week # tags.

As far as I'm aware the only way to do that would be to attach thumbnails to individual posts. Would that be worth doing?

Everyone would just add there own photos, not really different than what they do on the forum.
And you can add bigger than thumbnail.

Just seen this thread, I must have missed it along the way. Thanks again for setting up the group on Flickr and sending the invites. Thanks too to Neil for agreeing to moderate.

I have added my photos, just need to rename them now to fit with the naming convention required for the search. On my 'to do' list this week as soon as I get a spare moment.
