TP 52'ers Class of 2016 Discussion thread Week 52 we made it! time to celebrate /( celebrations)

It has been converted into a Via Verde, like a waggonway in the Uk. The line originall ran from Baza to Lorca but was abandoned in 1985. The local authority have restored the first part of the tracks, sidings and points but the rest has been converted into a walkway/cycleway which goes from Huercal-Overa, where we live, to Lorca.
We have the same sort of things here. Short sighted political motives for closing railways (happened mainly here in the 60s) which devastated the railway infrastructure, with trackbeds built upon, turned into roads or sometimes paths...
50 years on population growth means that those ripped up railways would now be a valuable transportation link, but they cannot be re-built and so the road network grinds to a halt with all the added pollution etc.
Still hindsight is 20/20 and who would ever have thought that having a minister for transport who ran a road building company would have resulted in a conflict of interest.

It makes for interesting places to photograph though :)

Ah yes, though they move up and down within the stickied threads.
Indeed they do, there is nothing I can do about that, I'm afraid, save when everyone is done with 2015 ( say a month to be sure? ) I'll un stickie 2015's

Im sure iv just missed/ can't find it but what day do the themes get announced? :)

I apologise for being a bit thick but i have a question.

I post my entry into the pictures only thread, which i get, i have read the link to your own pages instructions, so do i link to my thread from the pictures only thread, does this then automatically open to the last post in my thread. Will this then take someone who clicks the link from the pictures only thread weekly theme to the same image in my own thread
Not sure if i understand what i have typed.

Found some easier instructions in the 2015 image only thread, hopefully i can manage to follow them haha

The way I do it is

1- post my entry into MY thread
2- reply to post photos here thread using the same link but don't post reply just yet
3- Go back to MY thread and grab the page linky
4- Back to the post your photos thread and create the linky as described in the thread
5- Post your reply
6- Remember I haven't changed the thread title of my page and rush back to do it.

How do you get the Weekly button to come up before your thread title or is it something admin does?

At 3am, what do yu expect !!!!!

Perhaps they work late like me, I finish at 12pm so often don't get to bed till 4am  but that is all changing soon

Two ways to add the weekly prefix.
1. When you create the thread, to the left of the thread title is a 'Prefix' section, click in there and select the prefix you want
Prefix.jpg
Of course, this is no help as you've already created your thread...;)
So....
2. From your thread, select the 'Thread Tools' link and then 'Edit Title'
To the left of the title (you'll be in this dialog every week to change your thead title anyway) there is a prefix option (doesn't show up well on this screen shot).
Click in it and select your prefix, then save.

Hope this helps.

Maybe you could use a screw or a nail rather than a red pin... them red pins don't hold them there posts very still :wacky:
I'll nip down B&Q and get some duck tape later

Usually Fri lunchtime, sometimes Thurs eve.

One last point, if you click the post number in the bottom right hand corner, and use the link that pops up, it'll take you directly to that post and not the top of the page :)

Done

Meh, or you could ask a scaly admin ;)
I'm just a scaly moderator they don't let me lose with admin tools :D

I'll have a go as it will be easier for me to post as there are "no rules"
No prizes, no leader board, no pressure,
and only the rules you set yourself

Just signed up, a quick question, does the image need to be taken in the week after the theme has been announced? I suspect yes, just wanted it to be confirmed

Ideally yes, but there are no hard and fast rules about that,
People will drop in an older image if they run out of time or idea's, but usually declare it as "an archive".

That's the general idea but there are no hard and fast rules, you can do what you like.
You can post archive shots if you like, you can play a joker and shoot something else, you can skip a week completely or you can catch up a few weeks later.
I think my longest catch up was 20 weeks late, DK had one that was about 30 weeks after the theme iirc.

ETA: D'oh fractionally beaten to it by Mr Magoo.

Cheers for the clarification, I suppose old, could be an 'old' (archive) image :-)

Cheers Mr Jol. Looks like week 0 is just a tester week so all good to start at week 1 I guess?

Thats what i'm doing as I'm without my camera till the weekend, it's agony :(
