TP 52'ers Class of 2016 Discussion thread Week 52 we made it! time to celebrate /( celebrations)

Welcome Mark. What's a PAGB?

THanks Carl Photographic Alliance of Great Britain they do awards similar to the LRPS etc but you have to be a member of a camera club that is affiliated to them.

I keep looking at this thread and shuddering :)

Cheers.
I'll be carrying the unused ones over, besides, you are (all ) welcome to throw more subjects into the equation and I'll add them to the list for the coming year

Hmm... How about 'Contrast' or 'Cram' or 'Cornered'? Today I am quite fond of the letter C, aren't I  ?
LOL C is a good letter, after all Chris begins with C (y)

I'll run through all the suggestions later and make sure they aren't already on the list or have been used :)

Since we are making suggestions, 52/2 = 26 = letters in the alphabet

Lets do A-Z twice :exit:
Its a totally random themes, pulled from a bag, and there are far more than 52 to make it even more random

I've got a scrabble set!

Do I sense a bag of F words coming up...

Right then mr Hissy. To reduce my use of the shoehorn quite so much, how about adding:
Train; Steam; Diesel; Carriage; Rail; Track; Platform; Smoke; Wagon; Station; Signal; Point.
Oh and how about "Shoehorn" ;)
:exit:
Have you checked the list of themes I've put in there? :p

Shoehorn might be fun, along with any given theme instead of re-shoot :D

I'm sure I can add something rail orientated, but as the list is ( will be) far more than 52 no guarantees I'm afraid ;)

I've added a few of the suggestions made to this years list, the chances of them being "pulled" this year are slim, but they will certainly get carried forward to next years

Hello group
My name is Lee and I seem to be addicted to 52s

For a theme suggestion, how about "Nut"? That'll cover a multitude of interpretations from nuts (and bolts) to self portraits ;)

Cue Andy's @posiview self portrait again ;)

I'm not good at commenting, as I'm not good at typing, typing reams of comment worth reading .... so I keep it brief. It means I manage to comment on 90+% of what's submitted. If you're happy with that then click the LIKE button below. :D

And your comments are very much appreciated!!

Hello folks! Well, it's my first ever TP52...I hope that I'm ready to the challenge and don't make a fool of myself...<< sigh >>

Can someone point me in the way or the correct method of linking photos. I hate FLIKR they keep changing it and I can never remember passwords.
Is there a different option that we can use?

You can use your very own TP gallery
https://www.talkphotography.co.uk/t...o-and-insert-an-image-from-your-tp-gallery.8/

Flicker, just don't sign out ;) and its easy peasy
https://www.talkphotography.co.uk/tutorials/inserting-images-from-flickr-updated-22-08-15.7/

You can upload straight from your Computer / device by hitting the up load a file button, bottom right,
but this must not exceed 1024px on the longest side or 350Kb, or you will get an error message

If you're not using flickr, then something like google's picasaweb will work, but basically anywhere where you can save the picture and get a direct link should work as follows...
1. Obtain direct link to the image
2. In the comment box, select the image button from the Toolbar
InsertImg1.jpg
3. In the resulting dialog box, paste the link to the image where it says "Image URL:"
InsertImg2.jpg
4. Click the "Insert" button
5. Click the "Post Reply" button

Just copy and paste the [*img*] tag straight into the post.
And ignore the mountain

Take out the stars and you get this
No tags no click through to flicker just the image

The rest of the code is not required its all the stuff that tracks back to flickr
