So today I went on to Flickr, typed 'thick' into the search bar (to see if I could find any inspiration. Well it was a big mistake, I certainly didn't expect to see what I saw.

I think I've found my theme photo....

We only got a light dusting so far here in NE Scotland but excepting 10-30cm overnight and tomorrow.

We tried to go on holiday. Due to a combination of total incompetence and a total lack of care for passenger welfare from Tui, we ended up back in Manchester 12 hours after setting of for the Canaries for a 3 week holiday. Still no contact from the company, so our holiday is not happening and we are over two grand out of pocket.

the roads seem to seize up around here even with a light dusting, 4 hour commute today damn A11 was slow Grrrrrrrrrrr
There was an accident on the A11 earlier today, (Weds) However, by Mid - late morning I heard ( on the traffic report) that the A11 was shut from Thickthorn to Thetford! WTF! thats about 30 miles!
I've been lucky so far, no problems Monday when I was out your way.

Yesterday and today, I've been North & South Cambs. although there was some heavy snow up by Wisbech, the roads have been largely clear...
I've got Norwich area tomorrow, just when they are predicting the worst of it

We got hit overnight and the area is totally whiteout with 2,000 homes without power and traffic lights playing games. Not that I'm driving anywhere today. My Mini is in the garage for its bi-annual service and some fault code corrected since Monday and it looks very unlikely I'll pick her up today. Got a GP appointment in an hour so I've just walked there. My recent PSA blood test shows a bit high so she wants to see me personally.

I wonder if @Cobra will post tomorrow's theme tonight if he's about to trek out into the snowbound wilds of darkest Norfolk tomorrow.
Are you hoping / suggesting that I may not make it back tomorrow? :p

@Cobra If you don't come back, can I have the box of Maltesers and bits of spare camera gear that you stashed in the staffroom too please?
HONESTLY! you know who your friends are :p

Been catching up on comments (more to come). I understand they are useful bits of kit but whats the obsession with lego men on TP? (not just this 52 but the whole site) They seem to make their way into every thread.

Lego men are fun and add another dimension to what could otherwise be a little stuffy ?

So onto week 9 then ( Already? Blimey!)

Due to the abundance of the white stuff, in some area's I was forced to change my plans, have an early one

I let my Legotroopers out every now and then for a bit of fun image really and some would say sort of creativity too. :)

It used to be those wooden puppet men but you don't see them now.

Well i'd booked and paid for a long weekend away in Somerset for the wife's birthday - had to cancel it as we have so much snow, it was just too dangerous to drive.

Thankfully they have a free weekend at the end of March so all is not lost

Bloody snow! Only pretty for an hour, then just a pain

Gonna have to think of something other than snow having just used it.
Got it, fingers crossed the snow has gone before next Thursday or I'll have to think of something else

I've been avoiding that area for the last 2 days, checking the police twitter feed and the Norfolk / Suffolk travel FB page and THIS weather site,
I decided that digression was the better part of valor :D
