Ive just listened to this podcast from the Film Photography Project by the brilliantly named Viviane Li and was reminded of Suz's tour of the Ilford Factory from a couple of years ago.

Although they still don't seem to be running a regular tour yet I wondered if we could approach them to run a tour for us filmies, I'm sure they'd be enough interest.

IIRC the tour ran on a weekday though so would need to be a day off or a sickie for you working types.

I presume its still in Mobberley, Cheshire? The posh bit at the side/end of M/C Airport runway IIRC

I'm in Cardiff, but I'd be up for it. Could even be tempted to make a few day trip of it. Anyone from my neck of the woods would be welcome to lift share.

We've had a few requests for site tours recently, but haven't yet
planned anything in.
If it's OK with you I will add your details to the list and then drop
you an e-mail once a decision has been reached.
An another note, we'd like to add taklkphotography to our database so
that you receive updates and press releases. Would these be best coming
directly to you?

I would love to visit the factory, would be such an interesting thing to see. It's a 420 mile round trip for me though, so I'd have to make it some sort of week/weekend trip away.

Anyone fancy a Peak District weekend meet? :p :lol:
 
I did the tour in 2006. Well worth it if you get the chance.

The only way I could manage to do it in one day was to fly there and back. Luckily Flybe had a special offer and it worked out cheaper than the train.
