Topaz subscription renewal. What?????

there is also the chinese clone now that claims to do pretty much all the same, aiarty or something like that. I haven't really seen the need to go there and test. At least you have another option if you need.
Had a quick look at Aiarty website watched the video offered up but thought it seems to be a little aggressive at fist glance also the software has been available for some time yet first time I have heard about it. Russ.

Can you still use Topaz 'as was'? Or is it subscription or nothing?

Bit wrong to automatically switch people to subscription too - That would be enough to kick me off and never use them again :ROFLMAO:
Yes, as long as you don't do any updates it will continue to work as is.

I still use denoise AI, did not subscribe to photo AI, as the older software still works for me. Someone told me that using Topaz in PS as a plug-in uses a lot of 'credits', I've noticed such a thing using firefly resizing, but not when I am denoising an image...

AIarty approached us to do a review which I think was done by @Garry Edwards ? He/we sent them a review in exchange for a free licence with which to do it, but I think Garry was underwhelmed, in essence.

I don't recall that

Actually, it was me that did the review.. It was pretty good, but clearly aimed at upsizing AI generated images, or poor quaility originals.

My experience with Topaz and DXO meant that I felt both of these were more suitable for photographers.

However, it looks as if Aiarty has moved on a lot since I tested it, and my review is probably now irrelevant.

Sorry Graham, I couldn't remember. As you say. I remember now how you summarised it and hence why we didn';t choose to progress into an advertising relationship with them

I did try out the free trial of Aiarty and it was quite good for certain images where the image was a little soft but not completely missed focus
I found it was quite good at improving the sharpness of some wildlife images that I took a long time ago that weren’t as good as I am able to manage now, sharpness a bit off

I did think for what it can do it’s reasonably priced and is a one off purchase unlike some software now

Didn’t buy it though now as its something that I would only occasionally use , if I miss the shot for most things that I photograph now I can just go back and try again

I also tried the video AI enhancer on some old holiday videos and to be honest was disappointed
