The release notes for the latest version of Sharpen AI say that they have fixed the C1 round trip problem.

I've only been half following the C1/Topaz round tripping issue but there does seem to be a bit of a cycle with Topaz breaking and then fixing, the C1 round tripping at different releases.

I round trip from C1 to PS, and run Topaz when I'm in PS, so direct round tripping from C1 isn't something I do.
.... I think that this continually needs fixing because Topaz so often update their AI software. Personally I get far better results from ON1 NoNoise and no longer use any Topaz products. I have always used Capture One (now version 22), never Lightroom.

Yes, I think I mentioned in an earlier post, that it appears that they check that all works with Adobe before releasing an update, but not with C1, which they fix in the next upgrade.

My Mac is too old to run ON1 NoNoise, but I am hoping a new one will arrive any day now, so I may well give NoNoise a try.

Also interested in opinions on Denoise versus Sharpen. Playing with the trial versions, it seems the Venn diagram of these two apps has a lot of cross over in the final output. Is it worth buying both or better to go with one (and which one?). I do like the idea of tackling both in the same app if possible. Thanks for your experiences.

I have both (plus GigaPixel) but find that I hardly use Sharpen AI as most of my images are taken at high ISO (typically 4000-8000) so I use Denoise to clean them up and add the bit of sharpness I need at the same time. I'll probably not renew my Sharpen AI license when it expires.

If you look at the examples I posted, they work differently. It is true that Denoise will apply some sharpening and vice versa but Denoise, for example, cannot correct motion blur. If I had to choose one, it will be Denoise as this is what I use most.

Has anyone had problems with Topaz DeNoise doing a good job of denoising an image but when you save it back to Capture One 22 on an M1 Mac desktop the adjustments are not saved.

As I mentioned a few posts back, there have been recurring issues with Topaz products working with Capture One. It seems they have a recurring issue of breaking it, and then fixing it, with different releases.

I round trip to Photoshop from C1 and run Denoise from PS, so I haven't kept track of the current status. But the release notes for the latest version of Sharpen AI said they had fixed a C1 round tripping issue. If no one can help here, its probably worth looking at the Topaz help forum, or asking Topaz directly.

Thanks for the reply Graham, I have been in contact with Topaz support on and off for a while. Last contact until now was before xmas when I was told to use a previous version which didn't work so I stopped using it. Decided to try again this week with my new Mac so contacted Topaz as to how/what version to use, I did exactly as they said but still not working. I have contacted them again and am awaiting a reply.

Mmm, not good. I'm not sure what to suggest, sorry.
