i can just imagine what clarkson would say when he heared this
any way i hope this has not been posted before
here is the story oh and can any one spot a big mistake not once but twice made me giggle

The skies above our heads are beautifully quiet. The vapour trails are no more and the sky is pure azure. The UK has wound back 50 years and the sun is shining. From where I’m sitting it’s hard to see the downside of the volcanic eruption in Iceland.

Of course, I’d have a completely different perspective if I was on my way to or from anywhere, but this week’s an at-home one (although I nearly arranged to go to Monaco for Top Marques – or not, as it would have transpired). But looked at from a slightly less parochial and personal viewpoint there’s a fair chance the West would tip back in to deep recession if the no-fly zone across Northern Europe lasted more than a few days. So who’s to blame for this situation?

First guess is the Icelandic Government burning piles of useless Icelandic Krona after their bankruptcy. But we don’t think they have enough left to make a bonfire, never mind trigger a volcanic eruption at Eyjafjallajoekull. But we think we’ve pinned down the culprit. It’s Top Gear.

We reported last week that James May had been caught filming a Top Gear sequence at the Eyjafjallajoekull Volcano in a Toyota HiLux. It would seem that the TG antics have caused instability in the volcano and caused the eruption. Icelandic media person Annalisa Kneejerk said:

“It has been scientifically proven that Top Gear is responsible for almost every evil in the modern world, so the eruption of a furious tectonic force barely a week after Richard Clarkson’s ‘visit’ can hardly be viewed as mere coincidence. We have it on good authority that Jeremy Hammond drove one of his favourite Ferrari gas-guzzlers at 100mph, straight into the main magma chamber, which could quite easily have caused this geological catastrophe. Thankfully I’ve never watched the show.”

So now we know. Selfish *******s.

It could be promiscuous women

Promiscuous women are responsible for earthquakes, a senior Iranian cleric has said.

Hojatoleslam Kazem Sedighi told worshippers in Tehran last Friday that they had to stick to strict codes of modesty to protect themselves.

"Many women who do not dress modestly lead young men astray and spread adultery in society which increases earthquakes," he said.

it'll be causing volcanic eruptions soon as well.....fairly accurate though, men often suffer smaller scale trouser erruptions due to scantily clad women....

@andylockran - Iceland go bankrupt, then manage to set their island on fire. Insurance scam written all over it!

According to the presenter on Home Planet on Radio 4 today, "global warming" does have an effect on seismic activity - this despite the geologist on the programme giving a definite NO to the question.

:D

There was also a report about some Icelandic professor that had been predicting this
and has been studying that (unpronounceable) volcano for years
He is in the USA ( I think it is) currently at a conference
and guess what? he can't get home to study said volcano

Ironic or what? :lol::lol::lol:

I was waiting for somebody to link Volcanoes with Global Warming. Feels refreshing lol (I'm gonna be studying all about Natural Hazard Management in University >_>)

Heard in Manchester that Sir Alex Ferguson was taking a look around City of Manchester Stadium and got lost in the dark. He found a door and went in all the cobwebs in the room made him sneeze and a great cloud of 34 years trophyless dust rose into the air thats when he knew where he was he was in the city trophy room So you see the dust covering us is nothing to do with any volcano its started in Manchester city Stadium
