Good composition although I would have liked the apple to be a bit more in focus, but the colours work well together.

I know what you mean about composing fruit, it took me ages to get the stuff to stand up :(
 
Love the variance of colours here! Work really well together. I agree with the focus. Bit soft on the front of the apple, but it really doesn't take an awful lot from it. Still a good photo :thumbs:

I love your colour shot - subtle colours well composed and exposed - I love the purple glow in the top right hand corner - very nice indeed! Top shot :)

Food: Another great fruit shot - that orange is so vibrant - the lighting and colour balance look spot on :) Very nice pear (:)) of shots Ruth :)

I'm with picky Mark - taking the writing off would have made EVEN more other-wordly.... but purple is my favourite colour so I like it anyway :D

Food - I'm sorry but this one isn't doing much for me - I think it is a mix of the composition and the blueberries looking very dark in comparison to the other fruit.
 
so I must admit i was tempted to do a cleavage shot for this week but when i was in the park getting some exercise on sunday somebody exposed them selves to me and i took the shot with this weeks theme in mind :D

:D On a more serious note the photo did make me smile! Very simple and fits the theme perfectly!

Well tbh i was a little stuck with this theme :( i just kept thinking black and white and really im a colour girl so i got to thinking mono is one, either one item or one colour with white so i had an idea.

One item one colour so i give you

Exposed: Oh how I wish I'd seen this last week - I needed a good giggle. Excellent, witty take on the theme, Ruth. In fact, I'm still giggling .... :D

Mono: There must have been some kind of telepathy going on on this one. I reckon if we merged our 2 images, your marshmellow would be floating in my bottle of milk. :lol:

I like it and the clear line around the base of the mm looks really good. Very nice interpretation imo. :thumbs:

And because of the colour balance, on my screen, the white appears a little pink so it's totally mono :D
