I've been suffering from toothache for a couple of days, kept awake by the undescribable pain! I'm not registered with a dentist, haven't been in 17 years due to some pretty invasive treatment as a youngster that's left me with a phobia!
I had to contact NHS24 to get an emergency appointment, it transpires that I had a wisdom tooth coming through, there wasn't enough room in my mouth for it and it's trying to throw it's weight about!
I went to the dentist today, thinking that extracting a wisdom tooth was a general aneasthetic hospital job, imagine my shock and horror when the dentist informs me she's taking it out right there and then! The fear and worry in the 10 minute period whilst the aneasthetic done it's thing was horrible, but the extraction was pretty uncomfortable, but pretty painless, although the sight of the pliers was a bit worrying!
Me and the tooth have now went our separate ways and it's an arrangement that appears to be suiting us both!
