how do i sort out my pics i have duplicate images all over the place is the something other then going through each image ??
i have photoshop cs3 ?

Happy hunting ;-)

Use the search function of the computer for file names that you think might be duplicated. This is not fool proof as if you go around your 9999 count file names will duplicate so you'll have to check them :bang:
 
Download Free Googles Picasa ver. 3.8. It will organise all your pictures making it easy to sort through
 
There is a program called double killer (or something like that) it's claimed to find doubles of pics and give you the option of deleting them, I haven't tried it though.
 
not really a bridge user, but itn't that included with CS3 and wouldn't it solve the issues
 
Go to majorgeeks.com and search for duplicate finder.

it sorts out all your duplicates and give you options to delete on various criteria (file size, oldest date, newest date etc)

Saves me hours of work :)
 
Just use windows explorer... mine adds "date picture taken" to menu when in a pic directory... easy to find dupes by date surely?
 
Once your sorted out, try and manage things better so you dont end up with duplicates.
