PPI has come through and I'm treating myself for a change. Problem is, the camera I want is nearly half price on one site compared to my local store. Should I fork out at the local store, buy a 2nd hand one from them at a cheaper price or trust this particular on-line retailer. Help needed with any pitfalls.
 
Depends who the retailer is.

Personally if I was buying a used camera I'd prefer to buy from the guys on here - never been let down yet and saved myself loads of money!

Depends on the online retailer surely there are plenty of good and bad ones. Might be easier to give an opinion if you say who the online company is.
 
I just boufght a D500 from them without any issues. I've only had it a couple of weeks so I can't comment on any warranty aspects, but the purchase process was good.

They don’t have as good a reputation as other grey companies like Panamoz and delivery can be slow in comparison. Many have used them though with no issues. Might also be worthwhile checking Panamoz as well though as even if a little more expensive they usually offer 3 year warranty versus efinity 1 year warranty and delivery is much quicker.
 
Check e global as well bought an 80D and a 55-250 efs lens from them before no issues at all I have for many years either bought grey imports or second hand so far so good.

HDEW cameras as well have a good reputation

Check the warranty situation with each grey importer some offer a return to base or use the UK approved repairers

I have recently bought a Fuji 56 1.2R lens from them, no problems at all. You only get one year warranty as opposed to 3 years from Panama, but loads cheaper.

I bought a D7200 and a Tamron 24-70 2.8 from them. Very prompt, well packaged, they kept me up to date with delivery info. Very good prices.
I'd use them again.
 
And me . Decent company good price and you can pay by PayPal for buyer protection to
 
I've used them without issue.
They only accept PayPal, and wait for the funds to clear before shipping, and that's why it takes a bit longer. It's all detailed upfront on their site though.
