Well I was GLUED to the TV for 2 1/2 hours.... Some fantastic stuff on there, wasn't there?
Anyone care to throw in their faves .... I'll vote for Caravan. "For Girls who..." is not their best album by a long way but that was a fantastic performance.
And was that THE Karl Jenkins huddled away behind a moustache, a peaked cap, sax and a keyboard during the Soft Machine's track?
Might I suggest that of those featured last night, it was the likes of Yes and ELP who brought about progrock's downfall by their sheer bombast? (Sorry to all Tales from Topographic Oceans owners ......

)
I'd love to have seen some stuff (or even a mention) of the Welsh band Man ("we might not be the best band in the world, but we sure smoke the most dope") whose album "Be good to yourself..." must be one of the top 5 Prog albums ever.
Why no Pink Floyd, I wonder? Perhaps it was thought they've had enough TV coverage recently but that was a huge gap.
A massive Thanks to the BBC, and I see there's more to come.
