I have returned to these forums after a pretty bleak year of photography. My poor camera deserves more!

Thanks to robbys82 for heads up on this. I shall do my damn best to keep up and re-fire the drive I once had for taking photos.

UPDATE:

Here's Week 1:

I thought I'd make use of all the Christmas stuff still sitting around. Christmas lights are a surprisingly good for this sort of thing!

Really liking your first shot. It's a little strange the bulb at the front not being lit, however I can imagine this would make it look terrible...it's a strange one.

I still have my gingerbread house....it's just begging to be eaten with a cuppa :D
 
Unfortunately, this particular gingerbread house tastes like pure chemicals, yuk. I actually pulled out the front bulb slightly so that it would turn off, I wanted it there for context but not to steal the show, if that makes sense.

Thanks for all your thoughtful comments, it makes it all worth it! :)

nice one Tommo, glad you went in for this, i'll try and keep up with this too. Like the colours, bokeh and shadows on it. This with the nifty?
