Hi all,
I’m back for another go at the 52. My previous attempts (2020 and 2021) didn’t exactly go to plan… I made it halfway once and barely out of the gate the second time.

This year I’m approaching it with a bit less pressure and a bit more realism. I’m hoping the weekly themes will give me a reason to get out, take photos, and enjoy the process rather than worry about ticking every box.

If I keep up, great! If I miss a week, I’ll just try to pick it back again…

Week 1: Lines & Angles (Framing Technique)
I headed out for a wander around Chichester on a frosty morning to see what I could find for this week’s theme of Lines and Angles. My main image was taken through the pedestrian footbridge over the railway line and uses the framing technique. I also took a few other shots while I was out.

I see what you mean about the similarities between your shot and mine.
I see that you were careful to not cut any of the lamp posts, in the frame, off. :)

I do like the second shot you've posted, because of the use of DoF.
One comment on the fourth shot is if you could have taken a step or two to the right you could have been more symetrical and gotten rid of the slight wonkiness of the photo. But perhaps that was a deliberate nod towards 'angles'?

A good set of shots.

Personally I like the yellow lines shot. The strong lead in draws my eye in, and around the curve. Then the lines disappear... then reappear. You tease!

Yep the first fits just right. Well - almost just right with no train! :dummy:

Some great shots Tom, they really speak to me. I think that you chose the right image.

A lovely series Tom. I prefer the second as the light is lovely, especially on the edge of the seat and use of DoF shows off the lines nicely.

I really like the symmetry in the first shot, the yellow lines shot really appeals to me too.

Nice images there Tom, I like all of them and you could have selected any. I think your selection was correct though.

Good fit for the theme and technique. The double yellow lines are a worthy second !
