I still watch them today - the original Itchy & Scratchy.

As much as I love modern animation, there’s something wonderful about classic era cartoons, whether Tom & Jerry, Looney Tunes, Disney, Betty Boop, Felix the Cat, Popeye etc.

The original Fred Quimby cartoons were fantastic. The later ones were s***e.

The screams of the cat in the originals were blood curdlingly brilliant, later cartoons were obviously pc and as above rubbish.

Indeed - I know that the in the very first episode (Puss Gets the Boot) that T&J were called Jasper & Jinx.

My reference to Itchy & Scratchy is to the obviously T&J inspired ultra-violent cat and mouse cartoons as shown in The Simpsons.

Now if I could only buy a completely uncensored set of all the original T&J cartoons on Blu-ray....

Loved watching it as a kid, and early teens. The grandchildren would not watch Tom and Jerry, the stuff they watch is a little crude and vulgar.
