Hi folks

Just reading another post which mentioned tolerance using the magic wand in Photoshop - this is something i tend to find difficult and keep trying to select things by trial and error using different levels of tolerance.

Question is, is it a trial and error thing or is there some kind of logic to what level of tolerance needs using depending on the image?

Cheers

I would say trial + error = experience.
There's no magic formula.
Mistakes are easy enough to undo using umpteen methods so just practice, practice, practice.

Thanks Bachs, that is what i suspected, I am a logic man myself, hence the q :)

Trial and error it is. Taken me 5 years using Photoshop to be as bad as I am now!!!

You're too damn modest!

Trust me - I do about four or five things really well, but the rest? Not a scoobie.

What are the 5 things - perhaps write a little tutorial on those 5? Every little helps :D And if someone else writes another 5, that would help you too :D

It's the image at source that really counts though - and yours always seem to be spot on

It's easy when you have the subject matter at hand as I do.
Honestly.
