Tokina af 19-35mm F3.5 - 4.5 A mount - no longer wide angle, worth keeping

I have a lens (Tokina af 19-35mm F3.5 - 4.5) in my collection that I got as a wide angle lens for my old Minolta Dynax SLR many years ago. I loved using it for architecure and landscapes - but now (having returned to photography) I have an Sony a77 (aps-c) the lens is not really very wide angle anymore. I'm thinking of moving it on as it no longer fills any particular niche, but wondered before I do am I overlooking something? Does it have any other merits I'm overlooking?

I would say it's not worth keeping for an APS-C system, as there are plenty of lenses that do that focal length with the bonus of normally starting at 16/18mm and reaching further. Plus with the likely added benefit of VR etc.

Well it's a Sony camera so stabilisation is built into the body, but I agree. It's not even great for Macro with an extension tube or a Raynox on the front - looks like it'll be going up for sale.

Ah yes sorry, I forgot the VR is inbuilt on Sony cameras. Yes I agree, I think there would be better all around walkabout lenses you could put the money towards.
