I have this lens its very underated in my opinion build quality is fisrt class, quick focus. Ithink you will be impressed with the image quality as well
 
Still not really taken into the wild yet, will have to give it a good going over this week...

I too have this lens and I think it's a right corker of a lens and one that I never leave at home EVER. Congrats and I'm sure you will love it as much as I do.:woot::woot:
 
I borrowed this lens for a brief time, and loved it. Need to buy a copy for myself soon I think;

I had a feel of one of these a couple of weeks ago, comparing it to the Canon 10-22, Sigma 10-20 and the 12-24 and I have to say the build quality felt by far the best. It was just the right size and weight and the exterior finish was way above the other three. It made the canon and even the sigmas look like cheap plastic ripofs in comparison.

Having said that I didn't get a chance to compare IQ unfortunately, although the Tokina is supposed to be very good.
 
Yes, it was reccomended to me by a friend who has had both the Nikon and Tokina version, lets just say he still has the Tokina..

I paid £250 2nd hand off ebay, i know you can get a "new" one from elsewhere around the world but i prefer to keep my money on this island...
