I'm thinking of adding one of these to my collection of lenses for landscape photography. Has anyone had any experiences, good, or bad to share with me, before i make the leap and purchase one? Any shots taken with them would be helpful, too.

I am in the same situation.

I have the 35mm f1.8, only diffrence.

However, the Nikon 12-24mm f2.8 is tempting.

Everyone talks about the Tokina being better for dx, but the Nikon is sharper.

Is it worth the extra £500 I dont know.
I am still undecided.

I will be getting one before I am off on my holidays.

I have just got one, not had chance to use it except test shots in garden but they look damn sharp. Also I had never seen one in the flesh only on the internet. When it came was very pleased with the build quality it looks really class bit of kit I have it on D300 with battery grip. I chose it over the Nikon 10-24m mainly for 2.8 and the fact that its only going to be used WA so the Nikon's extra zoom was no use to me especially as I have a Nikkor 18-200.

Wilko,

Let me know how you get on.

It will beveither the tok116 or the nikon f2.8

ooh I want one. How much are the Tokina's going for? I have a Tokina 50-135mm AT-X Pro, and it's amazingly sharp. Well, in my less than expert opinion it is. I'm not really very good at telling pins sharp images from 'average' images.

I love my 11-16 on my d90 built like a tank and is lovely and sharp. and a complete bargain at the prices that tokina are asking for it. imho every one should have this lens.

Here is one of my pics taken with it at the start of october.
