Today is the Future!

Got my hover board in the post this morning.

Grey import but a good saving.

I'll take some pictures of it first thing yesterday.

It still gets me how when "2001: A Space Odyssey" came out, they had press releases and promotional material from "experts" promising that all the stuff in the film would be with us by the time it got to 2001.

Pity I don't see any Pan-Am space airliners, space hotels, moon bases or hibernation pods amongst other things in the film! Come to think of it though, other things like video calling, speech recognition, high power computers etc have come fruition so don't see why everything else won't come eventually.

Pan Am spaceliners certainly won't :-)

Surely tomorrow is the future?

It's not that those things couldn't have happened, but there was no money for such things after the early 70s. Hey - we have tablet computers now, just like in the film.
