A question for you all, what software do you all use to create your websites.

At the present time I am using iweb but I am having problems with getting rss feeds working properly and I have had to use a work round to get comments working on my site.

It seem if you do not use .mac quite alot of the functionality if disables, hit counters, comments, RSS all the useful stuff.

Would be interested in knowing the alternatives...

Cheers

sounds like you are talking about a blog shutterman, yes?

software wise i used dreamweaver to make it and update it using textwrangler

I use textmate :)

I tried TextMate, but I'm used to Enterprise environments, so I use Eclipse with the Aptana plugin and phpEclipse, and subeclipse for source control.

I'm a geek too :p

I am doing a blog on the site yep... half of the stuff you mentioned needs a brain to operate it... thats why I use wysiwyg stuff because I am not part android and I am unable to speak binary.....

Needs to be idiot proof for me..

i suggest using one of the free blog sites, pick a template and you're off

I'm afraid I just use Lightroom to create mine. I'm just a little lazy I guess, and the pages that it makes look so nice and simple!

Cheers,
James

I use Dreamweaver at work, but as I can't use it at home I use Safari, Smultron (text editor) and Cyberduck (FTP).

Personally, I use TextMate, but I'm a bit of a geek. If you're not into writing your own then I would recommend RapidWeaver:

http://www.realmacsoftware.com/rapidweaver/

Sandvox:

http://www.karelia.com/sandvox/

or, if you want to get into the geeky stuff, Coda:

http://www.panic.com/coda/

Hope you find something right for you.
